Saughall Thursday fell 4-3 at Heswall Windows while it finished 3-3 between Sutton Way Villa (Nathan Eccleston 2, Mike Williams) and Groves.

Tarvin 2000 Athletic (Gary Handley, John Winter) boosted their Olympic Trophies Division One promotion chances with a 2-1 home triumph over Kelma. Neston Nomads were thrashed 8-1 at home by Manor Athletic.

Waggon & Horses Reserves won their Moreton Electrical Wholesalers Division Two derby at home to Hoole Rangers Reserves 3-1. But Newton Bears (Matt Feeney) lost 4-1 at home to Lodge Bar.

Three games took place in Link Up Division Three, with Crossway Reserves winning 3-1 at Barrow Athletic Reserves (Rick Williams), Peacock 09 Reserves losing 4-0 at Zone Fitness and Boughton Athletic being hammered 12-0 at FC Village.

Meanwhile, Vicars Cross Doves’ resignation from the league has been accepted and their record expunged.
