HOOLE Rangers got their season off to a flying start as the Chester & District League swung into action on Monday.

Stuart Scheuber, Lennox Beddows and Liam Gough shared the strikes for Hoole in their 3-2 home victory over Crossway.

The second Queensferry Sports Premier Division clash of the night saw Greyhound Inn (Alfie Cheers, Richard Marshall, Joey Waters) draw 3-3 at Ellesmere Port 3rds (Mark Roberts, James Maryniak, Matty Earlam).

Matt Elson and Stephen Dodd bagged braces as Uberlube won 4-3 at Chester Celtic in Olympic Trophies Division One.

Jamie Clare was on target in Ashton’s 3-2 home success over Orange Athletic while Darrell Freeman and Mark Hughes fired Woodlands Santos to a 2-0 win at home to FC Village.

In Link Up Division Three, Blacon Youth Club Reserves (Reece Henry, Luke Jones) drew 2-2 at home to Deva Athletic as Chester Athletic lost 4-2 at MSC Eastham.
