CHESTER CITY'S Nationwide Conference match at Woking on Saturday February 28 will be shown live on Sky Television.

The game will be the second occasion this season that City have been featured by Sky after their match at Burton Albion.

City chairman Stephen Vaughan is naturally delighted that his club are again being televised. "Obviously it is good for the Conference, and for Chester City football club that we are being shown on television," he said.

"We were featured on five occasions last season, now twice again during this campaign so hopefully a much wider audience will see the excellent progress we have made this year."

Vaughan quipped: "At this rate we'll be getting as much exposure as Manchester United, we may now start looking at marketing opportunities in China and other Asian countries."

Meanwhile the former Chester City midfield player Jon Brady has signed for fellow Conference outfit Stevenage Borough on an 18-month contract.

Brady was released at his own request last week by manager Mark Wright, so he could apparently take up a position on the coaching staff with Premier league outfit Arsenal.

The 28-year-old stated last week that he also wished to play part time football. The player's status with Stevenage, who are a full-time professional club, is unclear.

Another former City player, Mark Beesley, is a target for Conference club Leigh RMI, who incidentally Chester play twice over the forthcoming festive period.

The Mancunians boss Phil Starbuck said: "I have been talking to his agent for the last three or four days, but now I've left it in his hands to take it or leave it.

"I'm not prepared to be in a ding-dong battle with another club."

Northwich Victoria are also reported to be showing interest in the player.

Beesley, who was released by the Deva Stadium club, two weeks ago, scored 32 goals in 79 appearances for City.
