Heading down south to see Chester FC take on Bromley on Saturday?

Here's all you need to know about how to get to the ground and where to go for your pre-match drinks...

Although 225 miles away, Bromley is surprisingly easy to get to.

Just jump on a train to London Euston from Chester train station and sit back and relax for just over two hours. Once you arrive at Euston, getting to Bromley is pretty straightforward.

From the platform you have a five minute walk to the underground (where you're best off purchasing a day travelcard for zones 1-6 if your ticket doesn't take you to Bromley).

When you get to the underground you want to head for the Victoria line (light blue). Head down the escalator and turn right, through the passageway and then take the escalator on your left down to the platform. Finally all you do is wait on the platform to your right for the train to arrive. Once on, you're heading for Victoria station which is about seven minutes away (four stops).

When you arrive at Victoria, follow the signs for the National Rail/exit at the end of the platform and head on up the escalator.

Once at the top, you want to take the exit on the left. At the top of those steps, head to the big screens to your left and look for 'Next fastest train to Bromley South.'

These are pretty regular so you shouldn't be waiting more than 15 minutes. The train journey should take no longer than 25 minutes (as short as 17 if you're on a train where Bromley is your first stop).

So you've arrived in Bromley. What next?

When you exit the station you have a number of places to grab some food - Tesco Express and Greggs is to your right, Subway across the road as well as a fish & chip shop.

If all that travelling has made you thirsty there is a Wetherspoons over the road BUT there's also a few pubs on the way to the ground too.

The ground is just under a mile away (0.8 miles to be exact) and if Google maps is to be believed should take no more that 20 minutes to get to.

Directions from Bromley South...

It's pretty straight forward and you should (hopefully) avoid getting lost. Head left out of the station and follow the road round to your left and up the hill. Cross the road at the traffic lights and head up the road past the Ford dealership (on your left) and keep walking until you reach the traffic lights (if you can avoid the temptation of the pub, takeaways and Halfords).

Turn right at the lights and follow the round down hill (the ground is on your left but you probably won't be able to see it).

Keep walking until you reach the entrance for Nutfield Health Centre on your left. Walk up the entrance way and you'll arrive at the health centre but more importantly the ground.

From there, cheer on the Blues to an away day success!
