CHESTER City have sacked assistant boss Jimmy Bone as part of a shake-up aimed at arresting the club’s current slide.
The axe fell on Bone yesterday after owner Stephen Vaughan met manager Bobby Williamson and several senior players to discuss City’s poor form.
Steve Mungall – who managed the Blues during their Conference years – was immediately brought in to replace Bone, who came to the club last December following Malcolm Thomson’s departure.
City have won just once in Bone’s time at the Deva – against Bury on December 22 – and have taken only two points from the last 33 on offer.
