CARL Macauley has called on Vauxhall Motors to maintain their focus after they threw away points for the third time this season.

Motors were seemingly heading for their first home victory of the campaign after top-scorer Obi Anoruo fired them in front against Harrogate Town on Saturday.

But after Andy Taylor was sent-off, Vauxhall lost their way and conceded late on, just as they had done against Guiseley and Workington, and so had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Boss Macauley said: “We should have 10 points now instead of five, but another lapse in concentration at the death has cost us yet again.”

Motors now face Blyth Spartans on successive Saturdays. They head to the North East this weekend for a Blue Square North clash before the sides meet in the FA Cup.

Airbus UK Broughton lost their big Welsh Premier League clash at Bangor City 5-1 on Friday.

Nick Rushton netted a consolation for the Wingmakers, who welcome defending champions The New Saints to The Airfield tomorrow (7.30pm).
