LIVERPOOL have already landed a psychological blow ahead of today’s lunchtime showdown with Arsenal at Anfield.

Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson went head to head with the Gunners’ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a ‘keepy-uppy’ challenge at the team hotel while they were on duty for England Under-21s this week.

Henderson set the bar high with a score of 148 with a tennis ball and Oxlade-Chamberlain fell short on 136.

IT’S fair to say Mark Clattenburg doesn’t enjoy widespread popularity in Merseyside. His erratic display contributed to the Reds’ first defeat of the season at Stoke back in September and he was a surprise choice to referee the Carling Cup final.

However, the official from County Durham handled the game brilliantly and more than justified his selection.
