Chester FC will be glad to see the back of Barnet after losing 3-0 at the Vanarama Conference leaders on Saturday.

Steve Burr's side have lost both meetings with the Bees this season, failing to register a goal and conceding eight in the process.

But the game at The Hive was very different from the 5-0 defeat at the Swansway Chester Stadium back in August, with the Bees only taking control once Gareth Roberts had been sent off.

Chester's new signing Kane Richards had a goal ruled out for a contentious offside decision before John Akinde gave the North Londoners the lead after a mistake from Kingsley James.

Craig Hobson rattled the crossbar early in the second half but Roberts was shown a red card shortly after for an alleged elbow on Luisma.

Barnet looked far more at ease against 10 men and got a second through Charlie MacDonald before Curtis Weston wrapped things up nine minutes from time.

We'll publish the results in this week's Chester Chronicle.
