LIVERPOOL and Everton will prepare for their FA Cup quarter-finals by clashing in the 217th Merseyside derby.

The second all-city match of the season will take place on Tuesday, March 13, at 8pm after the Reds’ progress to the Carling Cup Final forced the game to be rearranged.

For the Blues, in particular, the trip across Stanley Park now comes within a run of demanding fixtures.

Champions League hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur are the visitors to Goodison Park on the Saturday night (5.30) leading up to the derby before David Moyes’ side welcome Sunderland in the lunchtime kick-off four days after meeting the Reds, with a place at Wembley up for grabs.

Kenny Dalglish’s men are hoping to secure a second trip to the national stadium this season when they host Stoke City in their last eight tie, but have the benefit of an extra day’s rest following the derby with that FA Cup tie taking place on Sunday, March 18, at 4pm.

However, Liverpool have to come through a trip to Sunderland on Saturday, March 10, unscathed before they welcome Everton to Anfield.
