Dragon Hunt

Chester FC left back Johnny Hunt has been speaking ahead of the cross-border derby, a game he knows very well.

The 26-year-old said: “There’s a good feeling among the lads at the moment and we are looking forward to it.

“It definitely takes a bit of the pressure off when you have had a couple of good results in the build up.

“We have kept clean sheets and the lads have been working hard in training, so we are confident and want to take three points."

McCarthy on loans

It looks like the Blues are happy with their current squad.

Manager Jon McCarthy has said he is willing to show faith in the players at his disposal and is not looking for loan signings.

He said: "I have told the players they are in competition with each other.

"I'm not going to go running out the door after one bad performance and try to bring in other loan players.

"I think a long-term view is the right way."

Lowdown on Wrexham

McCarthy will be deep in preparation for the derby tactical battle with his opposite number at Wrexham Gary Mills.

Daily Post sports reporter Rob Griffiths watches the Dragons every week and has told us about three players who pose a threat to the Blues on Saturday.
