Chester FC has been chosen to host an England international fixture in 2014.

England Under 19s will take on Turkey U19s at the Swansway Chester Stadium on Wednesday, March 5.

Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe and Southampton defender Calum Chambers are among the promising talents likely to be on show.

“This is an opportunity for our community club to show off our capabilities to stage an international event, provide a fantastic match day experience for its existing fans and to encourage new supporters to the Swansway Chester Stadium to sample what should be a fabulous atmosphere."

Business development manager Dave Riche said there would be opportunities for fans to become involved in the game in a number of roles.

He said: “The aim is to pack the ground to capacity on the night and put us firmly back on the footballing map.

“We be will be launching a major initiative in all the schools and junior football clubs in the region in the New Year to come and be part of the evening and see tomorrow’s stars in action at Chester FC.”
