FRODSHAM'S Richard Warburton claimed an incredible hat-trick from his first three balls in his side's Division Two derby victory at SAUGHALL on Saturday.

His heroics put a major dent in the home side's middle-order.

Warburton finished with startling figures of 4-1, as Saughall fell for 77 - skipper Martin Huxley 33 and Mike Andrews 23.

Third-placed Frodsham then made their way to a winning 80-7, with Andrews taking 4-27.

Saughall captain Huxley said: 'Despite missing several key bowlers, we really put pressure on Frodsham and, who knows, might have won with a few more runs to defend.'

Saughall are at leaders Appleton tomorrow, Frodsham entertain rock-bottom Audlem. nMike Rowlands was denied a century for CHESTER COUNTY OFFICERS in their frustrating Division One draw at Sandbach on Saturday.

The opening batsman believed he had made his ton only for the scorebook to state he had hit 98.

Nevertheless, it was a fine innings by Rowlands, who was supported by Tony Hattersley, with 80, as the visitors declared on 202-1.

In reply, rock-bottom Sandbach held on for 108-6, with Steve Johnson, Graham Wilks and Mike Pownall among the wickets for Officers.

CCO entertain Radbroke Hall tomorrow.

Radbroke go into the game on the back of their loss to unbeaten leaders KINGSLEY.

Rob Massey, with 2-19, and Adrian Burden, with 4-33, helped reduce the hosts to 115-8, before the visitors posted a winning 116-5, with Jonny Ollier offering 28.

Kingsley host Norbury tomorrow. ELLESMERE PORT are third after they edged out Woodford by one wicket.

Paul Betteridge was the Port's hero with 6-39 as the away side were done and dusted for 93. In reply, the home team just made it to 94-9.

Betteridge and co go to BUNBURY tomorrow, who will be looking to improve on their draw with Hartford.

Batting first, Bunbury made 197-6, with Ben Camber knocking 55, P McBennett 49no and S Lamb 42. Hosts Hartford held on at 156-8.
