KINGSLEY'S bid for three wins in a row was shattered at Chelford by an inspired performance from the hosts' Australian skipper Weston in the Cheshire Building Society Cheshire Alliance's Division One.
In glorious sunshine but on a wicket still suffering the effects of midweek downpours, Neil Rowlands (58) and Mark Butcher (42) shared in a century stand for Kingsley after the early departure of both openers.
Kieron Ollier made 30 before he and the tail succumbed to Weston (4-54) and Spanton (3-32).
Kingsley narrowly missed out on maximum batting points after limping to 173.
Chelford, with relegation virtually guaranteed, played with a carefree spirit until Alderman (3-30) entered the attack to remove Sheills (41) and the rest of the top order.
But Weston played a masterful innings of 71no to see his young side home by four wickets with five overs to spare. Frodsham were beaten by nine wickets at Wistaston in Division Two.
Scores: Frodsham 70ao (G Houghton 30, J Hogburn 5-9), Wistaston 71-1.
