HOLDERS Oulton Park booked their place in the final with a 55-run home victory over Poynton on Sunday.

Oulton scored rapidly to reach 269-9 in their 45 overs, Ben Spendlove making 75 and Danny Leech 53 as Charlie Lamb took 3-53 and David Watkins 3-65.

Poynton lost early wickets, but recovered to post a spirited 214 in 41 overs. Chris Jones produced the best bowling figures of the game with 5-40.

The second semi-final between Neston and Hyde has been put back to Sunday, August 27.

The final takes place following Sunday. Park have lost the toss for choice of grounds, so the match will be played either at Neston's Parkgate or Hyde's Werneth Low.
