THE Jones brothers gave Oulton Park their ninth successive victory in the ECB Premiership on Saturday.

The pace of Danny Jones (5-55) blew away the Widnes top order, including ex-Lancs bat Steve Titchard, who was caught by Ben Spendlove for seven. And the spin of Chris Jones (4-53) finished off the tail.

In between Widnes put up some resistance, but that was seen off decisively by Spendlove, who stroked a magnificent 77 in 78 balls.

Chris Bassano (56) and Danny Leech (56no) played their part in keeping Oulton on top.

Jonny Kettle scored an unbeaten 114 and Jimmy Guest 72 as Oulton 2nds made 233-5, but the only winner was the Little Budworth track on which Urmston 2nds had scored 282-1.

Craig Williamson was in super form for the 3rds taking 7-30 and hitting 46: Upton 146-9dec Oulton 147-0. Holders Oulton host Poynton in the Cheshire Cup semi-final on Sunday.

Cheadle 250-3dec Winnington Park 229-8

Winnington Park failed to improve their position at the foot of Division One despite a battling performance at Cheadle.

The home side set a high target but Winnington, desperate for wins, were undaunted in the chase and got close via Jim Pilling (61), David Leech (55) and Vishnu Bhardwa (41no).

Sale 146-8 Middlewich 50ao

Middlewich's batting order collapsed dramatically after they restricted Sale to a modest tally. Phil Davies (3-42) had bowled especially well.

Instead of completing a victory that may have settled them in mid-table they tumbled towards another relegation battle in a 24-over rout.
