Hartford 101 Frodsham 144

HARTFORD missed out on the ideal opportunity to get within a point of leaders Bunbury on Sunday.

Having had the fixture against Frodsham moved forward to Sunday, Hartford had already seen their rivals washed out on Saturday.

The visitors began brightly, punishing the bad ball and progressing to 110-3. Then came a batting collapse as Rob Whittle ended on 4-31 and Brian Harkin 4-33 to send the visitors crashing to 144 all out.

Unfortunately, a too familiar weak batting performance was to follow with Hartford spiralling to 50-8 before a late rally saw them end on 101. Brian Harkin top scored with 23.
