IT’S all change at the top at Malpas CC after Tim Davies took over as chairman of the Wrexham Road outfit.
Son of John, the club’s groundsman, president and former chairman, Tim used to play for Malpas as both a junior and adult. He replaces Rob Suckley, who has stood down along with vice-chairman Nigel Shone.
Max Funke has been re-elected as treasurer and secretary, and he will help Tim to finalise Malpas’ ECB Clubmark Accreditation. Charles Higgie, who was involved with the project, has moved to become press and publicity secretary.
Jeanette Jones has been elected child welfare officer, and she will be assisted by Mark Goldsmith.
Keith Rickett has been named the club’s junior cricket co-ordinator and, together with Mark Jones, will set up a new junior side, training for which begins in the last week for February.

Adrian Stubbs has switched from vice-captain to captain of the first XI, replacing Jon Suckley. Mark Dunning and Mark Jones will continue as captain and vice-captain of the seconds, while Keith is the new captain of Malpas’ Sunday side.
