THE Cheshire Women’s Cricket League celebrated another successful season at a presentation dinner held at Chester Boughton Hall CC.

Players from eight different clubs collected the 12 individual awards, which were presented by Cheshire Cricket Board chairman Jim Law.

Appleton were presented with the three trophies they won this year while there was a special surprise for league president Di Totty. Firstly she was announced as the winner of the first division wicket-keeping award, then she was presented with a special award in recognition of her tremendous services to Cheshire women’s cricket.

Among the other winners were – T20 Plate: Oakmere Kats; Division Two Bowling Award: Vicky O’Flanagan (Neston); Cup Cricket Batting Award: Jemma Bentley (Oakmere); Cup Cricket Bowling Award: Annette Axon (Chester Boughton Hall); Cup Cricket Wicket-keeping Award: Jacqui Faulkner (Oakmere); Cheshire WCCC Batting Award: Dawn Prestidge; Cheshire WCCC Bowling Award: Kate Skelhorn; Cheshire WCCC Player of the Year: Dawn Prestidge; President’s Awards: Sarah McCann & Delia Heginbottom.
