ANOTHER game, another middle order collapse for Kingsley.

The men from the Croft lost at BUNBURY on Saturday and face an exciting couple of weeks as they look to secure the second promotion slot in Division Two of the Meller Braggins League.

Kingsley’s new young opener Matt Gabbott (40) got his side off to a solid start and at 78-1 the away side were in the driving seat. But Kingsley then stumbled and were all out for 115 in the 44th over.

Bunbury deservedly crossed the line in the 44th over on 117-5.

The wide-open nature of Division One means OAKMERE could finish as high as third – or even be relegated.

They defeated Northwich on Saturday, Nick Ball (23no) hitting 11 runs off the final over to take his side to 155-5 as they chased 154-6.

Ball had earlier taken 4-62.

In Division Three, BARROW (135-9) drew at Alderley Park (179-8dec).

In Division One of the Cheshire Alliance, the Frodsham v Old Parkonians and Ellesmere Port v Saughall games were cancelled.
