HAVING narrowly missed out on promotion last season, Kingsley start the 2013 campaign in Division Two of the TACS Partnership Cheshire League.

The club has welcomed batsman Toby Mullins and he will join a side which blends senior and junior players.

Peter Pearce will again be at the helm, with Andrew Ainsworth appointed as second XI skipper to build on a strong 2012 season.

Junior nets are now under way every Friday night, run by the junior coaching team and new coaches Andrew Bratt and Matthew Gabbott.

Kingsley are proud of upgrades to The Croft, including new sight screens and covers thanks to a grant from the BiffaAward scheme.

Elsewhere in Division Two, CHOLMONDELEY and BUNBURY – who both finished mid-table last year – will be looking to join Kingsley in the promotion hunt this time round.

BARROW, who finished on the fringes of the promotion race last year, begin their Division Three campaign at Wirral on Saturday.

Cheshire began the season with a disappointing defeat in Division Two of the ECB Women’s County Championship. They lost at Staffordshire, who made 131-3 before bowling Cheshire out for 128.
