Ellesmere Port were unable to make it back-to-back Cheshire Alliance Division One wins on Saturday as they suffered a 152-run beating at Wilmslow.

Port went into the clash with confidence high after recording their best victory of a difficult season.

But they were brought back down to earth by Wilmslow, who cracked 215-5dec (Abdul Qahar 2-49, Dwayne Bernard 3-77).

That was always going to be a challenging total to chase down.

But the visitors will have been disappointed by the way they crumbled for 63, Paul Betteridge (16) their only batsman to make double figures.

Port have a basement battle at home to Saughall on Saturday.
