ALVANLEY reflected on a highly successful 2010 campaign at their AGM.

Secretary Andy Senior delivered his annual report and had praise for the first and second teams, who finished third in their respective divisions this season, while the thirds and the midweek side teams finished first.

Alvanley’s under 18s reached the Cheshire Cup semi-finals while the icing on the cake was when the club hosted a Bunbury Festival game, receiving glowing praise from all concerned.

The election of officers saw few changes.

Andy Bennion and Nick Geddis continue to run the first team.

Mark Leadbetter takes over from Nigel Wakefield in the 2nd XI, assisted by Will Speakman.

Emlyn Roberts carries on in charge of the 3rds, while also taking on the honorary treasurer role from the retiring Tracy Pearce.

Bob Cunningham carries on as president, Chris Fletcher remains chairman and Andy Senior is still honorary secretary.

Paul Ecclestone has yet to be replaced as junior coordinator following a highly successful stint which has seen an unprecedented number of juniors progressing to and succeeding in senior cricket.

Dates for winter nets have yet to be finalised.
