The Hampshire side will include Australia's-legendary leg spinner Shane Warne and will be captained by former England batsman John Crawley.

AFTER taking 60 league wickets for Nantwich last season, former Guyana fast bowler Barrington Browne will be locking horns with the king of spin next Wednesday.

Browne has been named in the Cheshire team to meet Hampshire in the second round of the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy at Alderley Edge (10.45am).

Browne is one of six Cheshire County League players in the team which includes three professionals in Simon Renshaw and Dave Pennett, who played regularly in 2003, and Australian all-rounder Clinton Perren, who plays for Littleborough in the Central Lancashire League.

The line-up is: Andy Hall captain (Bramhall), Jason Whittaker, Danny Leech (Oulton Park), Steve Ogilby, Robin Fisher (Chester BH), Nafees Din (Mobberley), Barrington Browne (Nantwich), Simon Twigg, Dave Pennett (Harrowgate), Simon Renshaw (Kibworth), Clinton Perren (Littleborough). 12th man: Barney Cut-bill (Macclesfield).

Admission to the match is £8 (£4 for OAPs and juniors).

There is free car parking available in Chorley Hall Lane, a seven-10 minutes walk from the ground.

Thursday, May 6 is available as a reserve day in the event of rain.

Cheshire Seconds open their five-match programme against Bradford/Leeds UCCE at Grappenhall on Tuesday, May 4 (noon).
