JUNIOR and senior players alike will benefit from improved facilities at Kingsley CC.

The club has obtained a £7,500 grant, funded by the National Lottery through Awards for All.

It will go towards two new sight screens and various other items, with Kingsley making an appropriate contribution from their own funds.

Club chairman Steve Kitchen said: “This grant assistance will enable the club to further improve the facilities at The Croft for the benefit of junior and senior players, and indeed for the benefit of the community.”

First-team skipper Neil Rowlands has organised pre-season indoor nets for juniors (under 11s and U13s) at Frodsham Leisure Centre, running for five Sundays from March 8 (3-5pm) and costing £2 per session.

U15s training is at Helsby High School, starting on Tuesday, February 24 (6.30-7.30pm). The seniors begin on the same date and at the same venue (7.30-9pm).

New players can turn up on the day or call Neil on 01928 788322 (home) or 07900 187404.

The club is still searching for a first XI scorer. Anyone interested should contact Neil Rowlands on the above numbers or Keith Trenell on 01928 788465.
