Chester FC's match at Torquay United on Saturday (February 13) is OFF.

The fixture was postponed following a pitch inspection at the Launa Windows Stadium this morning.

Heavy rain in the area has left the surface waterlogged and, with more heavy showers forecast for the morning of the match, an early decision was made, saving what could have ended up as a wasted journey for Blues fans tomorrow.

It means a second weekend in a row for Chester without a fixture.

Last Saturday's FA Trophy clash at Halifax failed a pitch inspection and was called off at just a couple of hours' notice.

The Blues lost Wednesday evening's replay 1-0.

There is no news yet on a new date for the Torquay game.
