CHESTER Jets' season came to a sudden end on Sunday when they were beaten in the Championship Play-off quarter-final by Scottish Rocks.

It was the first time Jets had lost to the Glasgow team for three years and defeat could mean that supporters have seen the last of head coach Robbie Peers - at least in charge of their team. He has been strongly linked with a move to BBL rivals London Towers this summer.

The two teams traded baskets from start to finish with Chester edging the first quarter 22-21, but at half-time Rocks had snatched a one-point advantage at 43-42.

With the scores level at the end of the first quarter Calvin Davis was fouled out to give the visitors the advantage and they took their chance to steal an 89-84 victory.

Said Peers: `I have no excuses. Rocks deserved their victory. But the players have done well this season by winning the BBL Trophy.'
