Cheshire Phoenix extended their BBL Championship winning streak to six games after cruising to an 80-61 triumph against Glasgow Rocks on Sunday.

John Coffino's side continue to build momentum, drawing level with third-placed Leicester Riders on 18 points as they led from start to finish at the Northgate Arena.

Central to the hosts' success was their ability to lock down Rocks' star performer of late, Kieron Achara, limiting the Great Britain international to just eight points and four rebounds in nearly 32 minutes of action.

Demond Watt once again produced some impressive numbers, finishing with 23 points and 13 rebounds as Taylor King added 16 and Mike DiNunno dished out 10 assists. Paul Sturgess also made his long-awaited debut.

Danny Huffor paced Glasgow with 16 points and Tommy Freeman had 14, but they were the only Rocks to score in double figures as the Scottish side suffered their second defeat in as many nights, having won their previous three.
