Cheshire Phoenix will be aiming to extend Durham Wildcats' barren run to 12 games at the Northgate Arena on Sunday (5.30pm).

Lee Davie's men have lost their last 11 matches, a run stretching back to February 1.

Phoenix's David Aliu, who will make his 200th appearance in the BBL should he feature, says the fixture will be a tough one, despite Durham's poor form.

"Durham are a good team and it's never easy game," said the BBL veteran. "They are a well coached and drilled team but for us it's simply just focus on ourselves and play our game.

"For us now it's just about getting momentum into the play-offs trying to play good team basketball."

Wildcats boss Davie added: "We've not achieved our goals as a team or a club this year, which is a disappointing for everyone involved.

"The guys have had the deck stacked against them all year long because of things out of their control, but they have battled all year long. I'd love for them to try and finish on a high note over the remaining three games."

The Nix have won three of their last four games, and Davie knows who the dangermen will be in John Coffino's side.

"Cheshire can turn a close game into a blow-out in a hurry," said Davie. "We need to try and take their transition points away. Taylor King and Demond Watt have proved over the course of the season how good they are at what they do.

"We need to pressure King's catches to deny any easy looks. With Watt we need to be prepared as a team to team to defend his catches, making him more of a facilitator."

Cheshire ran out 99-76 winners over the Wildcats when the sides last met at the end of February.
