Cheshire Phoenix star Kinu Rochford has been handed the accolade of Molten BBL Player of the Month for January.

The forward, who distinctively wears zero on his vest, was head and shoulders above everyone else during the period in terms of his performance efficiency valuation.

He played six games for his team in January and averaged 17.8 points per game - harvested from an excellent 55% field-goal shooting.

Rochford also completed a double-double month after pulling down a phenomenal 14 rebounds per game and that led to him topping the league's January rebounding chart.

Perhaps most impressively, he also showcased his often overlooked passing ability by handing out a fantastic 4.5 assists per game, which witnessed him in the top eight for this category.

Rochford also used his athleticism to take a top four spot in blocked shots too - swatting 1.3 per game.

Two of his biggest displays also resulted in starting appearances in the weekly BBL All-Star Five.

He grabbed a spot early in the month after accumulating a spectacular 31 points and 14 rebounds against Worcester Wolves and then racked up 18 points and 16 rebounds last weekend against Glasgow Rocks in a similarly dazzling effort.
