Cheshire Phoenix have completed the signing of North Texas University guard Jordan Williams ahead of the new BBL season.

The 23-year-old Dallas native , who stands at 6ft 6ins, joins Cheshire straight out of the Mean Green basketball program in NCAA Division One's C-USA conference where he averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game in his senior year and was one of the standout performers for the team.

This will be Williams, who finished his college career as the ninth highest scoring player in North Texas history with 1,501 career points, first professional season and one that Nix head coach John Lavery is confident will be a successful one.

Lavery said: “We are happy to have secured a player of Jordan's quality for the coming season. He is young and fresh out of college who has the hunger and desire to be successful in this league."

Williams said “I couldn't be any happier to be a part of this program this year, it's a blessing and an opportunity I will grab with both hands."
