Cheshire Phoenix have added former London Lions guard Jorge Ebanks to their squad, but have bid farewell to summer signing Sean McGonagill.

Ebanks is a native of the Cayman Islands and holds a British passport and took part in the Caribbean Championships during the summer where was voted into the II Tournament second team.

He joined the Lions during the summer and made a number of appearances having previously turned out for Teeside Mohawks in EBL Division One where he led the League in scoring at 24 points per game along with five rebounds and five assists.

Cheshire are currently on a four-game losing streak in the BBL and are still waiting to break their duck at their new 1,400-seater Cheshire Oaks Arena home.

Point guard McGonagill was the first signing of the summer for Cheshire with the former Brown University standout joining the club following a season in Germany with Regionalliga side Giants Dusseldorf.

He struggled with injury early on after turning an ankle in the win at Leeds in September but found himself on the bench for the defeat at Sheffield Sharks on Friday.

A club statement read: "We wish Sean the very best of luck in the next chapter of his basketball career."

Cheshire host Leeds on Sunday (5.30pm).
