Cheshire Phoenix have parted ways with point guard Jorge Ebanks.

The Cayman Islander, who holds a British passport, only joined the club at the beginning of the month following his release by London Lions, but is believed to be heading back down south.

Ebanks featured in four BBL games and one BBL Cup tie for the Nix, averaging 25 minutes, nine points and three rebounds per game in the league.

He had been absent for the past two games, Cheshire's losses against Leicester Riders and Plymouth Raiders, with Danny Huffor occupying the point guard spot for the defeats.

With the Nix adding BBL veteran British forward Olu Babalola last week and club skipper David Aliu still to return, a replacement for Ebanks is unlikely, leaving John Lavery's men without an out-and-out point guard, apart from 19-year-old Sedale Hanson-Young.
