Victor Moses and Reggie Middleton, two of the leading lights in a fine season for Cheshire Phoenix, have been named in the Molten British Basketball League Team of the Year for 2013/14.

Every coach in the BBL was asked to choose the five players who impressed them most over the course of the season, and Nix's on-court achievements have been recognised with a double selection.

Moses, who has been the standout forward in the league since arriving at the Northgate Arena in October, earned nine votes.

He amassed three Molten BBL Player of the Month awards and scored 50 points in a game against Plymouth Raiders.

Kentucky-born Moses, 24, graduated from Georgetown College and was tipped to make a big impact in the BBL, but his figures of 22.4 points and 12.3 rebounds per game surpassed all expectations.

Moses' outstanding contribution saw him come third in the Molten BBL Player of the Year voting, with the award going to Worcester Wolves star Zaire Taylor.

Nix compatriot Reggie Middleton joins Moses in the five-man team, with the guard being recognised and rewarded for his contribution at both ends of the court.

Middleton, who came through Winthorpe College, ended the season with an average of 22.2 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 turnovers per game.

He established himself as an integral part of the Cheshire side in his rookie BBL season, earning six votes.

Worcester Wolves duo Zaire Taylor and Will Creekmore, and Malik Cooke, who plays for Newcastle Eagles, make up the rest of the team.
