Cheshire Phoenix have announced that leading law firm Hillyer McKeown has extended its partnership with the club for the 2015/16 season.

The new sponsorship agreement sees Hillyer McKeown increase its financial commitment to the club as corporate partners. The firm will also be the club’s official legal partner advising the club on employment contracts and all other legal aspects of the business.

Hillyer McKeown is one of the leading business and personal law firms in the North West, with offices in Chester, Wirral and Deeside and have just opened a new office at Gorse Stacks in Chester city centre and is due to open a fourth office in Liverpool next month.

The Phoenix are similarly ambitious with the team moving to play at the 1,400-seater Cheshire Oaks Arena at Ellesmere Port Sports Village for the new British Basketball League season.

Richard Burnett, partner with Hillyer McKeown, said: “We are delighted to have agreed a new and enhanced corporate partnership with Cheshire Phoenix. The club has become an integral part of the Cheshire sporting scene and has ambitious plans to continue growing.”

News of the Hillyer McKeown partnership comes a week after Your Housing Group renewed as the club’s principal sponsor for a third year.

James Brice, Phoenix general manager, said “We are thrilled to have secured the support of Hillyer McKeown for a second season and even more so as a corporate partner and as the club’s legal partner. We have no doubt their sponsorship and support will prove pivotal in the ongoing success of the club on and off the court.”
