Jets offer learning

The Cheshire Jets and community sponsors Carlyle Finance are running a project to help young people without qualifications improve their work prospects.

The NEETS (not in education employment or training) project is supported by the European Social Fund and run by the Jets Foundation charity with West Cheshire College, Connexions, BYPP and the Youth Federation.

The six-week course for people aged 16-18 (or up to 24 for those with learning difficulties) includes a day of classroom-based activity each week to develop specific skills and competencies.

Participants also volunteer at Jets match nights, where they perform a number of roles to work towards two qualifications, NCFE level two volunteering and BTEC level one Workskills.
