THE Jets claimed a fantastic road win in Glasgow on Sunday after launching an astonishing rescue mission, fighting back from 19 points down.
After 23 minutes of poor play, the visitors exploded into life and left the Rocks reeling.
The hosts had started well, taking a 24-13 lead. The Jets trailed by as many as 14 points at one stage and the Rocks took a 43-32 lead into the break.
Immediately after the teams returned to the floor, things went from bad to worse for Jets as the Rocks scored nine of the first 10 points of the third quarter.
The visitors looked to be well and truly buried at 52-33 down – but they then launched a devastating comeback.
They outscored the hosts 27-8 during the remainder of the period. Bill Cole dunked to cut the deficit to single figures, then successive triples by Adam Brown and Colin O’Reilly levelled the scores at 60-60. In a nail-biting final period, Jets forged into the lead. They were pegged back at one stage, but Brown (26pts) bagged four free-throws late on to make the game safe for Cheshire.
