An expert three-point shooting clinic from Dominique Coleman fired Cheshire Phoenix to a superb 97-74 victory at the Emirates Arena.
Glasgow Rocks crashed to an eleventh defeat of the season due to scintillating performances from Victor Moses, Donatas Visockis, Reggie Middleton and Coleman, who sunk eight triples in his 30 points.
Nix – who are now up to sixth in the BBL Championship – were on top from the outset and opened up a double-digit lead inside five minutes, with a score from Moses who finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Glasgow rallied and reduced the deficit to just four points at 26-22, but it proved to be a false dawn and Nix exploited the hosts’ fragilities either side of half time to open up a big lead.
Cheshire carried far too much threat both inside and out and the hosts had no answer as the visitors ran out comfortable winners.
Middleton claimed 18 points and nine assists while Visockis finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
New signing Michael Creppy linked up with the squad last week and made his debut in the win at Glasgow.
Creppy – who holds dual US and British citizenship – hopes his arrival will spur Phoenix on to silverware this season.
A graduate of the University of California Riverside, the guard spent 15 minutes on the court and added four points and three rebounds.
He turned out for Worcester Wolves in 2011 and had spells in Germany, Greece and Denmark before checking in to the Northgate Arena.
“It is great to be back in the BBL and I am lucky that a form team was interested in picking me up,” said Creppy.
“I hope that I can help the Nix maintain their momentum and win a trophy this season.”
Nix coach John Lavery is pleased to have added extra depth.
“We are doing well with Reggie Middleton and Devan Bailey and have brought Chris Pearce in as cover, now we have comprehensive cover,” he said.
Lavery believes his BBL rivals will find Nix even tougher opponents with Creppy on board.
He said: “I have heard a few players beginning to say they hate playing us because we are strong and tall and hit hard.
“All I can say to that is great, and with Michael perhaps it will be a little more unpleasant facing us from now on."
