British Basketball League club Cheshire Phoenix has extended its partnership with cleaning and security specialists the Westgrove Group.

Westgrove partnered with the club at the start of last season and the Warrington-based firm has increased its commitment for the 2014-15 campaign, which begins later this month.

Stepping up to become one of the Nix's main corporate partners, the Westgrove Group's branding will be carried on the home and away vests throughout the forthcoming season.

Steve Fives, chairman of the Westgrove Group, said: “We had a great first season with Cheshire Phoenix last year.

"The community dynamic of the club sits perfectly with our own colleague and partner community feel.

"Becoming one of the teams principal sponsors this season will hopefully profile the Westgrove brand and develop new business links with our cleaning and security service offerings in the region."

Andrew Donaldson, chairman of Cheshire Phoenix, said the club was 'delighted' at the increased commitment from Westgrove.

He said: "They have now become a corporate partner and Steve Fives has really gone the extra mile by helping the club secure additional sponsors by working with me as my right hand man to push the club forward this season, introduce new contacts and close additional deals."

Fives added: "Assisting Andrew and the coaching team with key off-court strategies has been a real pleasure and everyone’s efforts are genuinely taking the club to the next level.

"This is an exciting phase to be involved with the club with our imminent move next season to the new arena at Cheshire Oaks.

"Above all else it is a great feeling to put something back into the community with them."
