Chester & Wirral League side Deva Athletic pulled off the result of the second round, beating West Cheshire League opponents Upton AA 3-2 at Little Heath in Christleton. Upton led 2-1 through Lee Guirado and Chris Coughlin but back came Deva as goals Stevie Creelman, Dave Campbell and Lee Constantine sealed a famous win.

Helsby travelled to Dukinfield Town and made it into the next round with a 1-0 win thanks to a Dean Walker strike and Malpas progressed with a walkover past Witton Albion Reserves but there was disappointment for Chester's other teams.

Blacon Youth Club bowed out with a 2-0 defeat at home to Stockport Georgians and Chester Nomads slipped to a 1-0 home reverse at the hands of Middlewich.

Chester & District Sunday League

It was no laughing matter for Custom House as a last-minute Michael McIntyre goal condemned them to a 6-5 home defeat to Handbridge Red Bulls in the League Cup second round. Mat Elson's hat-trick and two for Andrew Whitton ensured Peter Beacroft's treble and two Sean Taylor goals were meaningless.

Spital Vaults came from behind to win 5-2 at Dee Rangers with Callum Bratley (2), Mattie Astbury, Paul Williams and Joe Whalley getting the goals. Andy Hall hit back with a brace for Rangers.

The pressure continues to mount on Highfield Horses after a 5-1 defeat at home to FC Hickory's. Craig Anderson netted for the hosts but Dave Iqbal (2), Jack Gittins (2) and Joel Neale made for another miserable morning for the Blacon side.

Paul Butler fired in a hat-trick as Sutton Casuals knocked out FC Blacon 8-0. Lee Ludgate (2), Adam Smith, Brad O'Donnell and Peter Barnett got the rest of the goals.

In the first round, Richard Dalton, Aaron Hinchcliffe and Dean Millington wrapped up a 3-0 win for AFC Bears Paw at Tattenhall.

Purple Olive move into the third round of the Wirral & District FA Sunday Cup with a 6-3 defeat of AFC Rock Villa. Four-goal Keith Robinson, Joel Tunstall and Danny Ellis secured their passage.

Section A leaders AFC Saltney breezed past Axis United 5-0 to strengthen their position at the top of the table. Braces for Josh Keir and Warren Kelly along with a Liam McGovern strike sealed the points.

Waverton hammered Holdi 11-3 in Section B with Josh Leach helping himself to five goals. Steve Finley got a hat-trick on his debut with further goals from Dan Burns, Aaron Eymond and Ashley Hughes. Steven Elrik's treble gave the visitors some respite.

Lennox Beddows hit a hat-trick as Mount thrashed West Park Rangers 9-1 with James McIntosh (2), Stuart McIntosh, Gareth Sudlow, John Farrell and Mark Smith getting the rest. Mattie Tarbuck replied.

Upton Youth Centre's unbeaten run continued with a 3-1 defeat of promotion rivals Tarvin Rex. Two-goal Dean Houston and Matthew Crank meant an Adam Crimes effort counted for nothing.

Chester & Wirral League

Birkenhead Town defeated Lache 4-2 in the Premier Division thanks to a Mike Prenell hat-trick and a solo Ryan Morgan effort.

Danny Smith, Jacob Drayton, Jimmy Gomez and Tom Povall gave Shaftesbury Youth a 4-1 win over Ellesmere Port Town Reserves, and Lodge Bar prevailed 3-2 at Christleton Celtic.

In Division One, Dan Christian, Mark Hughes, Liam Bradley, Lewis Davenport, Marc Moorfield and Ross Kelman gave Newton Athletic a 5-2 win at Ashton.

Two-goal Joe Ormerod, Paul Woods and Adam Hall earned Elton Athletic a 4-2 verdict at home to Neston Nomads Reserves, and Lodge Bar Reserves beat hosts Gardeners Arms 4-0.

James Simpson's hat-trick, two Adam Ellis goals and one for Jim Lehman helped Clubbies AFC thrash Ellesmere Port Town 3rds 6-0 in Division Two.

Dean Millington got the decisive goal as Crossway edged out Woodchurch Athletic Reserves 1-0 and Elton Rigger won 3-2 at Orange Athletic.

Dave Jones (2), Ste Benson, Chris Williams and Paul Rambalid bagged as MBNA downed Hoole Youth 5-1, and Eastham Athletic beat Ellesmere Port Spartans 5-2 thanks to Mike Roberts (2), Danny Jones, Andy Gill and Lewis Stonehouse.

In the Vets Division, Michael Rodgers and John Dowridge netted as Blacon Youth Club defeats Nags Head Bunbury 2-1.

West Cheshire League

Upton AA Reserves moved up to second in Division Three with a comfortable 3-0 home success against Mersey Royal with Chris Dunning, Andy Henry and Matt Ingle on target.

Cheshire League

Tarporley Victoria had a convincing 6-0 victory at home to Mary Dendy in the first round of the Crewe & District FA Cup. Max Owen (2), Nick Ball, Matthew Burrows, Michael Parker and Alistair Taylor got the goals.
