People have been attending classes in the new community ICT suite at Elton Primary School, to find out more about valuable life learning skills including family finance and family ICT.

The scheme, rolled out since January, has been a huge success and has involved Cheshire West and Chester Council, Elton Children’s Centre and Elton Primary School.

The suite consists of 15 PCs and will help people keep up to date on important ICT skills.

Elton councillor Graham Heatley said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for improving skills and learning for residents and its success has come about because the partners have worked together with the local community.”

Victoria Carr, headteacher at Elton Primary School, is pleased with the new facilities and said: “Elton Primary School is a fully inclusive learning environment, where learning for all underpins our aspirations for children, adults and staff.”
