Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson were among the American celebrities rumoured to have attended the 'fairytale' wedding of R&B singer Ciara at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire yesterday (Wednesday, July 6).
The Tarporley venue posted on their Facebook page that they were 'delighted' to host the nuptials of Ciara and American football star Russell Wilson, one of the highest paid players in the NFL.
Although there have been no pictures of the guests as yet, actress and American Idol star Jennifer Hudson shared a snap of what she wore to the wedding on her Instagram account.
And former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, rumoured to be a bridesmaid, posted a picture of what looks like a bride's preparation room on Instagram and an 'insider' said she helped Ciara get ready for the ceremony.
Other rumoured guests were tennis ace Serena Williams, TV personality Lala Anthony and members of the Kardashian family. Beyonce would have already been in the area after performing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground the night before.
Earlier in the week, Ciara and Russell held a rehearsal dinner at Liverpool's Titanic Hotel and 'couldn't keep their hands off each other' throughout the party.
According to The Mirror: "The rehearsal dinner was beautiful. Ciara and Russell couldn't keep their hands off of each other. The love was strong in the room."
All wedding guests were said to have been asked to hand over their mobile phones to ensure the ceremony was kept private and the groom later posted a picture of the happy couple on social media, showing that the bride wore a specially-designed Roberto Cavalli dress.
On Wednesday morning there was a sign posted on the entrance to Peckforton Castle, confirming it was closed for a private function.
Only a few weeks ago, England footballer Jamie Vardy married his wife Rebekah at the same venue.
