Former Chester dance school student Jorgie Porter and Cheshire’s own Yvette Fielding are vying to be queens of the jungle in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Hollyoaks star Jorgie, 27, who attended The Hammond School at Hoole Bank, has already proved a hit with the viewers after the ITV show, hosted by Ant and Dec, aired for the first time last night (Sunday).

Her animated nature proved highly entertaining as she performed a tandem sky dive and later had bugs poured on her head in a kiosk raised high above the jungle floor. She was voted to take part in the next Bush Tucker Trial, ‘Disaster Chef’, alongside aristocrat and authoress Lady Colin Campbell.

There is already speculation Jorgie and boy band singer George Shelley could become more than just jungle buddies after the pair were spotted flirting.

Jorgie, who is originally from Manchester, is no stranger to reality TV after coming second in the 2012 ITV series of Dancing on Ice.

Also in the jungle is former Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding, who has more latterly become known as the host of TV’s Most Haunted and last year filmed at Ye Olde King’s Head in Lower Bridge Street , where spooky knocking noises were heard and a TV was apparently switching itself on and off.

Yvette, 47, who also hails from Manchester, now lives in Sandbach with husband Karl who works on the show with her. Yvette has already jokingly commented on nocturnal noises emanating from fellow camper and ex-Dragons Den judge Duncan Bannatyne who she referred to as ‘sexy beast’.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Yvette said: “I’m so pleased to be here. I can’t tell you how happy I am to be here.”

Both are following in the footsteps of Farndon’s famous ex-royal butler Paul Burrell, 57, who came runner-up to King of the Jungle Joe Pasquale in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2004 . His facial expressions and noises are etched in the memory as he stuck his hand in to various crevices containing nasty creatures during the Hell Holes trial.

Other celebrities included in this year’s line-up are: Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley, fashion journalist Susannah Constantine, ex-footballer Kieron Dyer, former boxer Chris Eubank, choreographer Brian Friedman, Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews and The Only Way is Essex star Ferne McCann.
