Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found lying on the ground with a cut to his head.

Officers were called to Westminster Road, Ellesmere Port, about 11.20pm last night (Thursday July 3) after receiving a report of someone lying in the road.

They found four men, one of whom had an injury to the head for which he later received hospital treatment.

Three Ellesmere Port men aged 29, 37 and 39 were arrested in connection with the incident.

Cheshire Constabulary spokesman Stuart Timon confirmed the injuries 'are not life threatening'.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information which would assist the investigation to call 101, quoting incident number 1023 of July 3, 2013.  Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
