A murder mystery from the 1970s comes to a village hall next month.

Upton Dramatic Society is rehearsing its next production Sweet Nellie by Maurice Callard.

The drama, directed by Ian Hughes, will be staged at Upton Village Hall from March 19 to 22.

Each production by the society supports a local charity and Sweet Nellie will be in aid of Chester Sports Association for people with a disability.

The volunteer led sports club for young people and adults meets on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings and offers a range of sporting activities ranging from football, handball, basketball and unihoc to cricket, badminton, table tennis and bowls.
