ENTHUSIASTIC dancers will raise money for a children’s charity during a two-hour zumbathon in Ellesmere Port.

The Groves Sports & Social Club, Whitby, Ellesmere Port, will host the fundraisers on Sunday.

Friends Laura Kent and Elisha Brady will stage the zumba/bowkwathon from 2-4pm and entry is £4.

The event will raise cash for Capital FM’s ‘Help a Child’ Charity.

Laura said: “We will be doing this as part of a big fundraising mission as we each have to raise £3,200 for the charity.

“The main event is a 10-day trek across the Great Wall of China in March 2013. We have to have raised £3,200 each by this time to take part in the walk.

“This year Capital is choosing to donate the monies to a special unit set up to help children with cancer and their families to cope. “

The event will also feature a beauty station, a children’s face-painter, a sweet stall, a jewellery stall and a raffle.
