REHEARSALS are well under way for this year’s ice spectacular The Show Must Go On.

Last year’s show by Deeside Ice Skating Club was sold out and club members are determined this year’s show will be every bit as successful.

The performance features scenes from hit musicals such as Evita, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cats, High School Musical, 42nd Street and more.

Members aged from four to 60 are bringing a variety of talents together – with backstage artists, prop makers and costume designers complementing skating skills of the youngsters – all coming together.

Performances take place at Deeside Leisure Centre Ice Rink, Queensferry, CH5 1SA, on Saturday, January 24, and Sunday January 25, at 4.45pm. Tickets £8 and £6 (concessions) Telephone 01244 845440.

As well as the show, the club provides a range of activities for skaters of all ages and abilities (must have completed Skate UK grades). It organises competitions, coaching, practice sessions, ice dancing, synchronised team skating, social events and the show. The club meets on Sundays from 4-6pm and Wednesdays from 6.30-7.30pm.
