STUDENTS swapped uniforms for smart suits and ball gowns as they swept up the red carpet for Neston High School’s annual prom.

Year 11 pupils took a break from GCSE revision to enjoy an evening of fun and glamour with their classmates – arriving in everything from Rolls Royces and sports cars to double-decker buses.

A Hollywood-style red carpet was rolled out for the evening, allowing well-wishers and parents to take photographs.

Headteacher Steven Dool and deputy heads Colin Randerson and Rachel Hudson also dressed up for the evening to greet pupils as they arrived.
