A TEAM of more than 40 pupils and staff from Whitby High School completed the Race for Life at Chester Racecourse on Sunday.

Despite the weather being less than ideal, the girls came in ‘Pink Force’ to support cancer research.

Many of the girls ran in memory of friends and relatives but others simply ran in the hope of helping to find cures so they never have to be directly impacted.

A spokesperson for the school said: “No matter the cause, we all shared the same vision, to help researchers find a cure for cancer. Well done to all the girls who took part in the event, it was a great success. Without your support research wouldn’t be possible.

“Cancer, the staff and pupils of Whitby High School are coming to get you!”
