STUDENTS at West Cheshire College were in fine voice this week as they showed their support for Britain’s Olympic hopefuls.

Cadbury – an official sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games – has pledged to bring the nation together to play games in the run-up to this summer’s tournament.

The company’s Spots v Stripes Games Crew dropped into the college’s Ellesmere Port campus to entertain students with their ‘Keep Singing, Keep Team GB Pumped’ game.

Students were encouraged to stand up and sing motivating power ballads to show their support for Team GB. The Games Crew then judged the singers and added their own twist, with atmospheric smoke machines to set the scene for each song – and plenty of Cadbury chocolate on offer.

Steph Garrett, assistant manager of health, social care, public services and sports at West Cheshire College, said: “At the college, we have a lot of events planned throughout 2012 to celebrate the Olympics coming to London.

“When we heard about the Cadbury’s Spots v Stripes Games Crew visiting colleges around the country, we had to get involved as we want to do everything we can to show our support for Team GB this summer.

“It was a great day and our students and staff thoroughly enjoyed all the activities supplied by the crew.”

The Games Crew has played thousands of Spots v Stripes games at universities and colleges across the nation as part of Cadbury’s ambitious campaign to get people of all ages and walks of life playing games again.
