HE can’t sing and he can’t dance...but The X Factor’s Wagner looks set to pull in the crowds when he visits Chester in the New Year.

Wagner will appear at Cruise nightclub in St John Street on Friday, January 21 where he will perform a selection hits from the ITV1 show.

An impressive 250 tickets were sold for Wagner in the first week of release and it is recommended to buy early.

Retired PE teacher Wagner was a hit at his Birmingham audition, charming the judges with his rendition of Pavarotti’s Indigo.

Special guest judge Natalie Imbruglia admitted Wagner fascinated her.

Disappointment at not progressing from the judges’ houses was replaced with joy when the 54-year-old found out he was to be Louis Walsh’s wildcard choice. Louis said: “He may not be the best singer, but he is the most entertaining.”

Also coming to Cruise in the New Year is X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson from Liverpool and fellow contestants One Direction made up of five lads, including Harry Styles from Holmes Chapel in South Cheshire.

Another X Factor star, Aidan Grimshaw, performed at the club on December 9 and was a sell-out.

Tickets to see Wagner, priced £6, can be bought by calling Cruise on 01244 408000.
